The production of rPET produces 79% less carbon emissions compared to virgin PET. It is well documented in a study delivered by ALPLA. Similar results were revealed by the Association of Plastic Recyclers, who released a report illustrating that using recycled plastic reduced greenhouse emissions by 67% for PET and 71% for both HDPE and PP – alongside reducing energy consumption.
