INTERNATIONAL DAY OF EPIDEMIC PREPAREDNESS FOR A BETTER FUTURE
The UN has declared December 27th as the "International Day of Epidemic Preparedness" as the coronavirus has taken over a million lives since emerging nearly a year ago. The General Assembly proclaimed the day "to highlight the importance of the prevention of, preparedness for and partnerships against epidemics," said the UN in a statement. We look forward to the end of the covid-19 pandemic, of which the death toll has now surpassed 1.5 million.
